WiFi - Wireless Networks

More and more, employees use wireless networks and devices to communicate and gain instant access to information and data. Industry predictions are, within five years, we will see a ten-fold increase in the number of connected wireless devices. In addition to phones, tablets, and laptops, more devices like alarm systems, card readers, scanners, and equipment will depend on wireless networks. At the same time, applications are becoming more bandwidth intensive as file sizes increase, and streaming and real-time video usage continues to grow.

NexGen utilizes Cisco and other premiere wireless equipment to provide the network foundation for businesses, schools, and healthcare facilities, that helps enable reliable, seamless, and highly secure data.

What is 802.11ac Wireless Networking?

Industry predictions are, within five years, there will be a ten-fold increase in the number of connected wireless devices. In addition to phones, tablets, and laptops, more devices like alarm systems, card readers, scanners, and equipment will depend on wireless networks. At the same time, applications are becoming more bandwidth intensive as file sizes increase, and streaming and real-time video usage continues to grow.

The latest revision of WiFi, 802.11ac Wave 2 brings gigabit speed to the wireless network, enabling businesses to increase speed and mobility while meeting growing bandwidth demands. Another new feature of 802.11ac called beamforming is designed to increase the reliability of Wi-Fi connections in more crowded areas. Beamforming technology enables Wi-Fi radios to target their signals in the specific direction of receiving antennas rather than spreading the signal across 180 or 360 degrees as traditional radios do.
